AUSTIN, TEXAS May 24, 2022 — Keller Williams (KW), the world’s largest real estate technology franchise by agent count, reports continued robust international growth. As momentum continues, KW is expanding across the Caribbean and has awarded a new master franchise in Bonaire.
“The credit for our quarter after quarter of aggressive international growth belongs to our thriving entrepreneurial agents, fueled by our powerful technology, training and business models,” said William E. “Across the Caribbean, we currently have 11 market centers and 578 agents collectively,” said Soteroff. “And, we are thrilled to announce our eighth region – KW Bonaire, under the leadership and core team of Edwin Hekman, who also helms the operations of our KW Aruba master franchise.”
Led by Regional Operating Principal Edwin Hekman, KW Bonaire is currently initializing operations. In Q3 ’22, KW Bonaire is expected to open its first business center.
Drawing from a more than 23-year career spanning leadership roles with the military and police, Hekman has since served a vast network of home buyers and sellers across Aruba and the Caribbean, becoming a respected real estate leader in the region. This experience has primed him to enter the growing real estate market in Bonaire.
“With Keller Williams’ models and systems in place, opening an office in Bonaire was the next natural step for us,” said Hekman. “We know what it takes to grow with Keller Williams and believe we can replicate our success in Aruba and bring it to our new office in Bonaire.”
KWW is currently exploring further expansion opportunities across Africa, Central and South America, Central and Eastern Europe, and throughout Asia.
Core criteria for new licensees starts with having a qualified leadership team grounded in the Keller Williams culture; the company also strives for government, banking and judicial system stability and a higher maturity level for a real estate market.
