Keller Williams Expands to the Bahamas

AUSTIN, TEXAS March 27, 2024 — Keller Williams Realty, Inc. (KW), the world’s largest real estate franchise by agent count, is expanding across the Caribbean. As momentum continues, KW has awarded a new master franchise in the Bahamas. 

As of Feb. 29, the brand has 17 market centers and over 1,400 agents across the Caribbean.

“Amid our continuing aggressive worldwide growth, we’re excited to announce Kenred Dorsett and his amazing leadership team are leading our expansion into the Bahamas,” said William E. Soteroff, president of Keller Williams Worldwide (KWW), the international division of Keller Williams.

Led by Dorsett, who will serve as regional operating principal, the KWW franchise in the Bahamas is currently initializing operations. In Q2 ’24, KW Bahamas is expected to open its first market center.

A 30-year real estate industry veteran, Dorsett has served as an attorney and development advisor on numerous hotel, resort, and subdivision projects throughout the Bahamas. He is a licensed REALTOR® in the Bahamas and the state of Georgia, and a Certified International Property Specialist with the National Association of REALTORS®. 

“We also want to ensure that Keller Williams’ ‘agent-centric’ ethos becomes a driving force for positive change, transformation, and success in the Bahamas,” said Dorsett. 

Dorsett is the director of Chancellors Corporate Services Ltd., a licensed financial and corporate services provider in the Bahamas. 

“Agents in the Bahamas hunger for knowledge and training,” said Dorsett. “We will use the vast existing KW training modules to satisfy that hunger and attract more agents to our happy work environment.”

Austin Bernard Davis is the broker of record for KW Bahamas. Davis has approximately 40 years of experience in the real estate industry, both in development and as a broker.

KW Bahamas marks the tenth KWW master franchise in the Caribbean. The brand’s other nine Caribbean regions include Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, and Curaçao.

As of Feb. 29, KWW had more than 300 market centers (outside the U.S. and Canada) across 55-plus  regions. KWW has more than 19,000 agents operating outside the U.S. and Canada, up 1.2% since the end of February 2023.

KWW is exploring further expansion opportunities across Africa, Central and South America, Central and Eastern Europe, and Asia.

Core criteria for new licensees start with having a qualified leadership team grounded in the Keller Williams culture; the company also strives for government, banking, and judicial system stability, and a higher maturity level for the real estate market.
