AUSTIN, TEXAS (July 24, 2008) —Keller Williams Realty Vice Chairman Mo Anderson, CRB, has been announced as this year’s inductee into the Council of Real Estate Brokerage (CRB) Managers’ Hall of Leaders. The Hall of Leaders Award was established to honor CRB designees whose significant contributions shape and influence the real estate industry locally and nationally.
“Words cannot express how honored I feel to be chosen by the CRB Council and included among such impressive real estate leaders,” said Anderson. “Every day, I am truly amazed at how blessed I am to be a part of the real estate industry – a business I truly love. It is very meaningful for others to recognize that passion.”
Anderson established the first KW franchise outside of the state of Texas in 1991. Gary Keller, the company’s chairman and co-founder recognized her talent and quickly brought her on board as the President and CEO of the burgeoning international company. Anderson now serves as Vice Chairman.
In 2003, Anderson founded the company’s non-profit arm, KW Cares, a 501(c)(3) charity that provides emergency financial assistance to members of the KW family in need and their immediate families, as well as outside charitable organizations. In 2005, KW Cares raised over $5 million for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Anderson has been named twice as Oklahoma’s Women in Business Advocate of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. She was also named one of real estate’s most influential leaders in 2007 by the Women’s Council of Realtors in their magazine, Connections. Most recently she was a finalist for REALTOR® Magazine’s 2006 Good Neighbor Award, and named one of the magazine’s Top 25 Most Influential People in Real Estate.
“The CRB Council couldn’t have picked a better candidate to honor than Mo Anderson – she has been a driving force in the growth we have seen at Keller Williams Realty. Mo walks the walk and talks the talk in her commitment to the industry and the people who work around her,” says Mark Willis, CEO of Keller Williams Realty International. “Mo is the face of our company’s culture of family. She is not only our cultural leader, but an icon in our company that inspires everyone to reach their fullest potential.”
Anderson joins an impressive group in the Hall of Leaders. Past inductees include Ebby Halliday, Joseph F. Hanauer, Gail Liniger, Art Godi, A. Watson, Jr., J. Lennox Scott, Richard Mendenhall and most recently Harley E. Rouda, Sr.
The Award will be presented at a special reception and dinner during the National Association of REALTORS®Conference & Expo on Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Renaissance Orlando Resort.
