AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 26, 2008) — Every year, RISMedia and REAL Trends release two of the real estate industry’s most comprehensive surveys: the RISMedia Power Broker Report and the REAL Trends 500. Both surveys rank the largest residential real estate brokerages in the U.S. based on both transaction sides and sales-dollar volume, and this year, Keller Williams Realty offices proved that they can thrive and grow during an up or down market, by making an impressive showing on the lists.
In RISMedia’s Power Broker Report, Keller Williams Realty had more offices listed in the top 700 offices than any other franchise brand. The survey also showed that Keller Williams Realty is the industry leader in the support and fostering of agent teams, with more agent teams than any other brand. Keller Williams offices also represented 55 percent of offices declared “Companies to Watch” in the industry, with the next closest competitor taking up only 9 percent of the list. On the REAL Trends 500 report, Keller Williams had the second highest number of offices in the top 500 compared to competitors.
“Keller Williams offices are showing that they can power through this shift in the market, and the survey’s, which serve as a benchmark for the industry, are evidence of that,” said Mark Willis, CEO of Keller Williams Realty, Inc. “Our agents and offices have stayed strong in our models, systems and culture and have continued to prosper. We are honored to be in business with such dynamic industry leaders.”
Throughout 2007 and into 2008, Keller Williams has focused on coaching and training initiatives to keep its associates competitive and ahead of the pack. The company launched Operation Heart to Heart 2, which were programs and tools specifically designed to help agents and Keller Williams offices tackle the market. Offerings included a new Website authored by Keller Williams Chairman Gary Keller, (www.agentmountain.com) featuring audio, video and other materials relevant in today’s market; a nationwide skills-based seminar tour, Thriving in a Shifting Market; and 12 new agent guidebooks that teach associates how to take advantage of the opportunities in today’s market.
“In addition to coaching and training opportunities, the coming months will see exciting announcements from Keller Williams — all of which are aimed at enhancing our support of our offices and agents,” said Mary Tennant, president and COO of Keller Williams Realty, Inc. “If you take the time to analyze the results of both surveys, it is quite phenomenal that in this market, our offices have made such an impact. We couldn’t be prouder of our people and their achievements.”
